Please any body inform me why & where water controlling electrically operated Solenoid valve are installed in liquid/water chiller.

Are you sure thats not a flow switch?

To stop flood back when the machine is off -it's usually in the return. The flow will have a NRV too.

It could also be a mixing valve and what you see is the valve motor box.
