We have a trane chiller, its contain two ckt., our main problem is ckt 2 tripped frequently.
At tripping time
CKT 1: Eva. Satu. Temp. -0.7C, eva. Satu. Pr. 4.1 Bar, Condenser Sat. Temp. 58.3C, con. sat. Pr. 22.1 Bar.
CKT 2: Eva. Satu. Temp. -5.8 C, Eva. Satu. Pr. 3.1 Bar, Condenser Sat. Temp. 44.7 C, Con. sat. Pr. 16.1 Bar.
And the fault showing A Low ref. CK-2, if we clear it then it show I Service demand or A CK1 limiting.
What will be our steps now...........

What is CKT?
Measure superheat and subcooling.
Measure water in and out temperatures
Measure air in and out temperatures.
What is full model #?
Measure refrigerant line temperatures at compressor discharge (10" from it), condenser inlet, condenser outlet, filter -dryer inlet and outlet, evaporator outlet, compressor inlet (10" from it).
Than post all that here for each circuit separatly!

our main problem is ckt 2 tripped frequentlyTripped on what? High pressure, low pressure, current overload, flow switch, low temp alarm, low voltage protection?

CKT is circuit

A Low ref. CKT-2 stands for Alarm low refridgerant circuit 2.

Machine is either R22 or R404a

give us the machine type and application and we can help u out.

R22 by his readings.

CKT means Circuit.
I have no idea how to measure superheat & sub cool may be we haven’t the instrument.

Water inlet temp. 10 C & Outlet temp.9 C.
Air inlet temp: 34 C,
Outlet temp. Of: Evaporator Fan 1: 41 C, Eva. Fan 2: 42 C, Eva. Fan 3: 47.2 C
(Note: Fan 1&2 with the 2nd circuit I mean with 2nd circuit compressor & Fan 3 with 1st circuit compressor)

Model: ECGAH 230,
Total Circuit No. Two: Capacity: (10T+10T) +10T:
Ref. required Ckt. 1: 13 kg, ckt2: 6kg
Max working pressure : LP:16 bar; HP: 32 bar
Evaporator fan No. 03, Speed: 915 t/mn, kW: 1.74 each
Three Compressors, 2 in 1st circuit and 1 in second circuits

Ref. Line Temp.(Circuit 1)
Compressor discharge (10" from it): 86 C
Condenser inlet: 110 C
Condenser outlet: 53 C
Filter -dryer inlet: 50 C
Filter -dryer Outlet: 48 C
Evaporator outlet: 16 C
Compressor inlet (10" from it): 25 C

Ref. Line Temp.(Circuit 2)
Compressor discharge (10" from it): 84 C
Condenser inlet: 93 C
Condenser outlet: 41 C
Filter -dryer inlet: 40 C
Filter -dryer Outlet: 45 C
Evaporator outlet: 17 C
Compressor inlet (10" from it): 19 C
(Note: All the temperature I measured with Infrared Thermometer)
At running Condition: Circuit 1: Suction Pressure 71 PSI, & Discharge Pressure: 375 PSI
Circuit 2: Suction Pressure 60 PSI, & Discharge Pressure: 280 PSI

Refrigerant: R22
Faults we are finding:

A low ref. ck-2 (probable cause as per manual, Evaporator 2 ref. saturated temp. has overtaken the ref. low temp. set point, check expansion valve & ref. load)
Plz: clear me what does it means.

I Service demand
A ckt limiting
A Com. I/O: 4

Some temperatures does not make sense (compressor discharge cannot be lower than condenser inlet) which indicate that you did not adjusted emissivity on your IR thermometer.

Wrap all measuring points with black electrician tape and make reading again or better find some decent calibrated contact thermometer.

for R22 60 PSI = about 34F or 1.1C
the condesnor pressures you listed are high but I don't think part of the problem at this time. The manual is telling you that the refrigerant staurated temp for ckt 2 is lower than the low temp cutout set point for circuit 2. You also have too much superheat in ckt 2 which rukes out low load. it sounds like either ckt 2 is low on refrigerant or you have an expansion valve problem. I'm also concerned that the condesor pressures are too high. Are all the condensor fans working/ Is the condesnor dirty or have rotting fins? Are there non-condensables in the condensor coils?

Now i have some idea how to measure superheat & subcool temperature, but it requires some time.
Hope all of you will help me..........

for the service demand and the IO com 4 u need a Trane tech. they are behaind a password that i'm not allowed to give 2 u.

Shortage of refridgerant is the most likely fault. U should leak search the machine and refill after the repair.

Check the pressure of water entering and leaving the evaporator, the input filter could be dirty, low water flow resulting in lower saturation temperature of the evaporator

Thanks to all of u, to help me.
# Same water pressure entering into the other circuit evaporator too, and there is no poblem. Is their any chance of fault with this circuit evaporator? may be its need to clean.
But their is no provision of cleaning.

Ckt 1 limiting is probably due to your leaving water temp being above 15c whereby it will prevent the last compressor from running.

Ckt 2 is probably low on refrigerant.

Com 1/04, is a telling you it is looking for an option board, which is probably not even installed, a setting will change the option, but I can't remember which setting on the SMM, sorry

Thanks for replay,
Sir, its help me lot.
Some of the data in the board is not showing, like B02, E09, E10, E11, E12, B06 etc.
We have no idea how to troubleshooting this problem?

I need electrical drawing of the total circuit, I did not find it in the SMM manual.
Please help!
