I just bought a used Hotpoint Mistral fridge freezer, both e fridge AND freezer are showing room temperature. The compressor is running all the time and I can feel normal heat from it. I removed the freezer back panel and I can feel the top of the evaporator at the inlet pipe is cold but not the rest of the evaporator. Is it lacking gas or is there a sensor that needs to be changed ? I see a green connector sensor that is attached to the front of the insulation and a yellow connector that has a lead that goes behind the evaporator, I pulled off this yellow connector and the freezer fan started up. I transported this fridge over a long distance if that is relevant. Any help appreciated because I have no fridge currently !
