I've recently discovered that Testo have released a new 550 digital manifold to replace the 523. It sounds and looks good at a descent price. £300 for the manifold and 1 clamp on probe or £350 for the kit that includes 2 probes and a box.
Before I commit to buying, could somebody tell me if they have had any experience using one of these and where would be the cheapest place to purchase one?

Can this do the data logging as well or is it similar to a standard digital manifold?

it doesn't do data logging.

i to was looking at it but when it says you can do vac testing the spec only shows its min working pressure is -1br which to me would be pointless buying.

I spoke to a Testo rep and he said it doesn't measure a vac like a torr gauge, its merely states when its in a vac. I don't think they do anything great in-particular but I figure if I need a set, I may as well go digital.

It's £276 on the following link.

At that price it's a bargain.

Do you mean old 560 (http://www.limundo.com/slika--Elektronski-kompujterski-uredjaj-TESTO-560--1021697x640.jpg) or new 560-1 (http://www.trutechtools.com/thumbnail.asp?file=/assets/images/0560_5604_01.jpg&maxx=300&maxy=0)?

The new one, of course.
550 is 3-way manifold
560 is 4 way manifold
550 does not log data
560 is wireles with many probes (or wired)
550 is 260$
560 is 1900$
550 is entry level
560 is top level

vac gauge is useless for moisture checking and main gauges only go to 40 bar

550 was designed to replace mechanical gauges and does a bloody good job.
What do you expect for under 300US$
