Hi All,

I am looking for software (something like visio) that aids in drawing 2D HVAC systems.

Any input?

Try www.allycad.com for a free but very good CAD that can import and export to and from autocad. Tinycad is useful for small drawings that can be included into word docs etc.

Download FelixCad free from the internet. This is basically an older version of AutoCad, uses the same command lines. FelixCad LT is the 2D version. I design HVAC with AutoCad, but once while visiting relatives I needed a Cad system and was able to seamlessly use the Free software to draw the relative's home floor plan. You can generate "blocks" for HVAC symbols you will use frequently, such as diffusers, smoke detectors, etc. Have fun!
