Can any body help please, maybe york rep or ex-york, i maintain a large, very old (1978) York chiller, it;s model number is LCHH160 wl 50p
I'm trying to determine the duty in Kw, i have an incling that the Yorks back then used the Tonnage of system, i.e 160 tons of refrigeration!! as this model sudgests. 1 ton = 3.5kw approx. Would i be right in assuming this unit is a 160 on system,
Look forward to replys, many thanks

If I cant determine a compressor capacity, I'll often look at what exspansion device is attached, and use it, and the refigerant used to determine capacity of compressor. The assumption being that the people that built the system knew what they were doing.
