what are the causes of the leak on inlet guide vane bearing assembly on a centrifugal compressor... that is excluding th chiller surging....

wrong adjustment of the stepper motor or assembly can cause the seal to leak too.

And setting the max steps too high too.

as said by lowrider all is correct .
we also found that when replacing the seal check the shaft ,make sure it is not etched or oval .
if this is the case replacing the seal will help for a very short time.:eek:

Where is it leaking, through the shaft seal or through the bearing housing face? How old is the chiller?

i have the same problem and fixes, reajusted the cam
