:o Hi Guys any one Know where Malta stands on use of R22? Have been asked to repar a system which is on R22 the customer assures me 22 is Ok out there? This system will be shipped as soon as i get going any one know the protocol in this situation?:confused:

why not covert it anyway,it sounds like they could do with a bit of education

use some "reclaimed" r22 which the whosellers have in stock

Malta is part of the EU.

With regard to refrigerant rules, the laws and restrictions on the use of new and recycled HCFCs (R22) are the same in Malta as they are in the UK because they are harmonised throughout the EU, though the penalties for infringement are determined locally.


However, enforcement being what it is, you can do what they can't stop you doing......

Hi Malta R22. I m your fellow Pajzan....!I still bought R22 in Malta..so i think it s still legal here but to be frank hurry up to stock it cause as the price is firing up this means it will soon ends up like R12 !!
