Anyone know where i can find a service manual for Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Inverter split systems?

I have a system that i need to repair but don't know where to start. Indoor fan works and runs but cond fans or compressor don't start.

I opened up the case and can't see anything visually wrong, threw the gauges on and found that the unit contains the correct refrigerant (R410a).

The model number of the FCU is SRK712EA-S1.

The outdoor unit has no info on it.

yea thats the correct model number, is there any other pages? that one doesn't tell me a great deal.

The indoor fan runs perfect, but no outdoor fan or compressor.

You should first enter service mode to show error codes as described at image I posted. Than post your findings here.

Ok so what i found after attemptimg to get the unit in service mode.

LEDS on FCU flashed
2 x run +timer
2 x timer
1 x run + timer + econ

does anyone know what this means?
I'm starting to think i need to get a mitsubishi service person out there?

There were no codes displayed on the remote control, i attempted the service mode display procedure around 10 times.

Any help would be appreciated.

how old is the system? as its a 71ZEA i would assume its still under its warranty (5 year residential, 3 year commercial)? If so get their service agent out

The customer doesn't have any proof of purchase or anything as he bought his business with the air cons installed.

He might just have to pay for a mitsubishi service agent to go out there.

Oh thats a pity, I thought it may have been a little lifeline for you. Although it is always beneficial to be able to sort out the problem for our own knowledge!

Thanks for all you help everyone :)

I found a great link to the service handbook. http://www.mhiaa.com.au/docs/MHIAA_Pocket_Code_Book_A5.pdf

The fault im getting is error 22 which is outdoor pcb so im guessing it just the inverter pcb. I will order it and see how i go.

Anyone got any pointers how to replace these things? and do they hold any residual voltage i should be aware of?

Hi everybody,

the question of checking error codes reminds me of something I have been wondering about with Mitsubishis small splits (like the SRK25ZJX-S):
Is there a simple way to put the units in forced cooling for pump down?
None of the mitsubishi service manuals mentions this; those of any other manufacturer do.

Cheers,
-Dave

Citing from Indoor Unit Installation Manual RKY012A007A:

Forced cooling operation
Turn on a power supply again after a while after turn off a power supply. Then press continually the ON/OFF button 5 seconds or more

hope this helps,
