Maniticowoc ice machine troubles

Model #QD045A

Problem: Compressor will not come on.

Seems all coponents are working.
The compressor will only come on when the contacter is manual energized. and will stop if let up.

Cannot get voltage to coil for contactor.

What is the voltage at the coil AC or DC?

Which relay is the coil relay on the board?

coil voltage is AC, start tracing your wires, check curtain switch, open and close the curtain, you should see the led light go on and off on the board, if you remove the curtain you can use a magnet to put over the switch, maybe your magnet just felt inside the bin, shold be located on the right bottom side of curtain,

as royal says.I had this last week myself.The white curtain at the front of the evap{it does come off} should have a magnet at the bottem right hand corner on the inside.They do come off,and stops the machine working.Best thing to do is to check,and to ring technical at manitwoc,and explain what is happening.they are very helpfull.
