Arcus Engineering, a company wholly owned by Arcus F.M.(which is 50% owned by Sainsbury), will from the 17th March be carrying out the M & E and Fridge service work for J.S. covering the same sites that P-first were covering.
They're currently advertising for extra staff in the South, all disciplines.

co-op contract has been put out to tender to apparently many companies. The new contract will encompass Co-op and Somerfield stores not yey converted. The results of the tendering process should be known within a couple of weeks.
i've heard all the big boys have applied, including wr and carters. Will the cheapest bidder please stand up!

TJ covered cumbria and some over newcastle but didnt have the engineers to cover call so used to subby a lot out. I used to work for a company that covered some of the call for them. They took it over when Sycro went to the wall.

anyone getting tuped would advise you seek proffessional advise, what some companies are trying to do falls outside of tupe so dont be pressured or pushed into signing a new contract even if your new employer tells you its legal to make you,,,it proberbly is not

Do you ever feel that the industry is being led by a bunch of play actors who being elevated to positions of management for whatever reason wether nepotism or the licking of a noble rectum here and there, leave us engineers to take it up the rear port everytime that the likes of Sainsburys or M&S etc decide they can be more cost efficiant and change the contractors?
I was one of those tupeed individuals a few years ago when SGMS got the nod and a load of good service companies then along with their engineers were left wondering .
I got out, after all it was the fourth time, and as i read these threads on this forum nothings bloody changed !! Trouble is the supermarket money is relativly good and regular , trouble is you rely on that and become trapped !!
