Hi, Really appreciate some advise. Have a maytag fridge freezer model number GC2224GEKB which is only three years old. Some six months ago had a problem with the air vent in the fridge side sticking open. Now have a problem with the freezer side which initially freezed up and then shut down. Tried a full defrost but now neither side is working. Have been told by an engineer that it needs a new control board which is a high cost item on such a recent model. Before committing are there any other suggestions on the problem. Many thans.
