I just changed my first coalescers last week. Not as bad as I was told it would be. Just had a heck of a time trying to get the manway gasket to line up all the way around the manway cover. I used a little bit of tape to hold it on while I tightened it up. Is there a easier way to do this like use a adhesive to hold the gasket in place?

Using a contact adhesive works well for me. This is recommended by FES on their machines.
To continue a bit, I like to make my own out of Neoprene when possible. 50-60 Durometer works well. For ***** machines virgin Neoprene is recommended.
I like 1/8" material. Thicker is not better. A thick gasket can, and will blow out.
Another note: before you start to depressurize a compressor to change the coalescer, always tighten the manway cover. If you do not it may start to leak as the pressure drops.
(I learned these things the hard way)

NH3s On a similar note, I use STP for holding O rings in place when changing disposable oil filters. C.D.
