Suction and liquid line

Hi all

I have come across a 2 door freezer with liquid line and suction line same size (both 3/8" but the compressor suction is 1/2") and it 's taking so long for the temperature to drop down. Any ideas?

Whereabouts exactly is the suction 3/8''? Also, what are the arrangements for the expansion device, what is your superheat / subcooling, and dT across evap and condenser?

Hi mate,

i have rectify this problem, suction line was too small...the dropper pipe from the evaporator to the condensing unit was too small, was 3/8". There was pressure drop. i have increase it to 1/2" and i'm getting a better flow of suction vapour.
