Old 30GH 160 carrier Chiller tripping on hp mainly overnight in low ambient, completely random
thermistors - all 8 read similar resistance
sometimes will trip on hp at start up after compressor runing for 10 seconds, thinking about changing hp switches
Any ideas appreciated

How does the measured pressure compare to the sensor/switch pressure settings?

is this a watercooled condensor? if so, maybey you need to clean it.
is there a watertower for cooling the conderwater, maybe you have to clean that one as well. tripping on high presure is normaly du to high temperature of the condenser.

It's a possibility that the discharge gas thermistors in the cylinder heads is causing the trip try linking them out

Icecube has the most logical options, which is where I suspect Brian was leading to.
James's suggestion is also valid if your chiller is fitted with the Low temp option. =(DGS).
If none of the above-
Also does your model have TEV's or liquid line valves.
Whichever is fitted the issue could be with them.
Check their operation.
