Hello !

I write for first time in this forum .

I have wonder if someone can tell me the answer.

I have a Carrier Air cooled chiller , Model 30GH245
800 KW cooling power , with 8 reciprocating semi-hermetic compressors 06E. 2 circuits and Refrigerant R22.

Can this chiller be using for ice rink somehow ?
The ice rink need about -4 , -5 degrees .

I generally don't see reason why not for any chiller if you use glycol solution and you are within operating envelope of compressor.

For ice rink application glycol leaving temperature must be -8C during freezing. And -4, -5C to hold about 15mm thickness of ice. So you should expect the evap. pressure is from 2 to 2.3 bar and check LP protection of the chiller.

30 GH chiller can’t use for low temperature. This has designed for comfort cooling. It has programmed setting in accordance the medium temp. Applications. Especially 06E compressor for only medium or high temperature applications.06CC compressor using for low temp.
