I think Samsung are up there with LG for quality, and their a/cs are at least as good as their refrigerators.

For residential AC-s they cannot compare with quality of their TV-s, if you are going by that that brand name has something to do with that.
As any factory on world, some products are good some bad. My overall impression is that there is same quality, better support and cheaper units available from big Chinese name as Haier or Midea for little less money. But that goes for my market, not necessary for your.

In Australia, they are now distributed and warranty supported by Actron. My personal opinion of Actron is total quality and I dont believe they would be willing to allow a broken product to destroy their image and name. I have actually just ordered five different models of the new Samsung range to evaluate and compare in the belief that they will be a decent unit with great support from Actron.
