I am specifying a shop reform which includes new AC splits
The existing units use 407c and we wish to leave the pipework in place. the new units (same size) use 410a

DO we need to specify any proceedures (cleaning etc)?

Grateful for any advice

George

Check for oil compatibility between the two systems.

Cleaning of the pipework would be good idea anyway.

Is pipework suitable for R410a pressures?

I assume you are talking about compressor oil and my (limited!) understanding suggests that 407 and 410 sytems dictate similar/compatible oils anyway.
The installers have intimated that purging the pipes with 410 will clear most of any residue and they usually do this.
I do not want to cut corners but todays inviroment precludes contract losing overkill.
Thank you for your promt reply to my first post
Kind regards

This is an illegal practice in the EU, not the sign of a good contractor.:(
