Hi,

There seems to be a large number of consumers joining the site purely for the purpose of posing a Q about their own problematic FF. Okay, I don't blame them, I might do the same in other circumstances, but the reality is that 99% of the time we really can't help them because they can't help themselves if you see my meaning.
Could I propose a 'sticky' for this forum just advising would be posters that the chances of them being able to repair their own fridge without specialist knowledge is... well remote.

Haven't mentioned it before, but this is truly an exceptional site.

fridge doctor Yeah your probably right. I know that some people think that if you give the black whosis a special tap that everything will be A-OK again. As I work in industrial refrigeration I dont even know if the light goes out when I shut the door of my beer fridge. C.D.

The majority of the home owners asking for help with their FF's variably post their first post anywhere EXCEPT in the Domestic section. I spend a lot of time moving these post so it's difficult to say whether a 'sticky' in the domestic section would be seen.
Most of them seem to post in the 'Do you need help using this forum' section - maybe we should also put a 'sticky' in there as well telling them to use the Domestic section :D:D

I agree.
