View Full Version : Can you tell the power of a carrier from its model number?

Ive got a carrier condensor

Con Mod No. 38QAN048---903-40

and am trying to find outs with power!

Any ideas over the weekend or do i have to wait for monday to phone them?

Please fill up:

Rows deep -
rows high -
tube diameter -
fins per inch -
length of the condenser -

With Carrier the duty is often given in the three digits that follow the model lettering.

e.g. 38QAN 048 = 48,000 btu

the tricky thing is that on some units, size matter here I think, the 048 could indicate 48kW.

You might have to take an educated guess..

The 048 shows it to be 48,000 BTUs.
