hi just changed the thermostat on the fridge, back of the fridge icing up and the compressor has not stopped running for 24hrs. could the tube from the thermostat not be seated properly?

Could be, is it the correct replacement thermostat?

hi thanks for getting back, re-fitted the thermostat, the compressor has been running since then. but the tempreture in the fridge is only down to 11c, but there is ice build up at the top of the cabinet at the back.
