Hi all,

I've got a freezer door that's sticking - presumably due to some kind of vacuum. I've cleaned the gasket with wd40 and it looks OK.

It's a Hotpoint Iced Diamond freezer

(OK i now it's not a fridge but i hope u can still help)

Thanks a lot

Just clean the gasket with water and soap and also the freezer frame.

The vacuum you describe is normal and tells you that the gasket is doing its job perfect.

The vacuum accrue whet warm air enters the freezer and when it gets cold, the air pressure in the freezer gets below the air pressure in the room.

Your freezer is performing well.

Unless of course it is sticking with ice because the system is SOG and there isn't enough heat in the oil cooler line?
