I was thinking like spraying water to hot air increases its relative humidity.
But recently heard carrier is installing systems which dehumidify hot air by spraying water and bringing down to comfort room conditions in skyscrapers.

Is really spraying water on hot air brings down RH?

I dont think that is possible without condensation and removal of water from air.

Are you thinking of swamp coolers witch are used more down south. Where it is hotter and drier.

Carrier did that yonks ago, spray coolers before the chilled water coils, the best thing since sliced bread if I remember correctly ...., minor problem the water spray system created legonella and made truck loads of people sick.[ sick building syndrome. ] All pre-chill spray systems de-commissioned
