Hi Big Jim,
The processor is probably interpruting the low discharge pressure as low system charge and locking out system, try blocking off air to condenser coils and fooling the processor input information. A bit like those cover/curtain things in front of truck engine radiator for low outside temps.

magooifd this unit is cooling only and the ambient is below set point it will not heat ,so it will be in off cycle, until the cargo area calls for cooling, why worry.

Carrier Xarios systems in Australia are all cooling only. can't Imagine modern Carrier would have the imagination or drive to generate different designs for different countries.

It's perfectly normal. The heat exchange and air entrainment are small, though enough to lower the temperature of the cell. If you want a higher trailer temperature then you need to find a way to heat it up from the inside.
