Hello, I was wondering if any of you guys know of any company other than Tecogen that makes a engine driven compressor. Thanks for your help.

Sanyo use a Nissan engine. google sanyo gas driven vrf.

Hi Gabriel, when I was in Canada we had a Caterpiller driving a Stall Screw in a brewery I also believe Waukeshau Sh**t my spelling,do them too

Mayekawa ( Mycom ) and anyone else who works with petro-chem would be my suggestion .
Are you talking natural gas or diesel engine ?

Thanks for the reply. The type of system I had in mind would be a natural gas driven recip. compressor skid mounted that can be added to an existing system.

You can ask any of the US manufacturers and they should be able to do it. Vilter, Frick, FES, etc. The biggest issue is having a torsional analysis done and making sure the frame is strong enough.

Hi ive worked with a copeland 8 cyclinder open type compressor used with a marine chevy 5.7 litre v8 engine , on top off a building were it was used for aircon ,and the engine is running on lpg gas, and is very reliable,with about 1400rpm

Hi Gabriel,

Tecogen use the J&E Hall HallScrew compressor in their chillers.
If you want just the compressor speak to Tony Payne or Tony Twine in J&E Hall compressor sales department.
