Danfoss state here (page 89) that these shouldn't be used with Zeotropes. Why is this?

I imagine there is some fractionation issue but can't see how. All that is happening is liquid is boiling off before it reaches the compressor and if it's good enough for an evaporator then surely it's good enough for an accumulator.

Yes, it was discussed before, and the assumption is that fractionation may occur in the separator.
Besides, Danfoss knows nothing about separators. So don't bother. If Danfoss was right, 99% of the existing refrigeration system were improperly assembled.

Thought I was breaking new ground with that one, but I suppose any question I can think of is here somewhere.
