The HP switch should be set to below the pressure relief valve if fitted.
It should be set according to the manufacturers design requirements also.
On a more basic level, the instructions that come with the switch will give the mechanical aspect of the switch itself.
What function are you wanting the LP switch to do?

We are fitting the HP switch too control the condenser fan. When it reaches HP the fan comes on. The refrigerant is 134a. My engineer knows how to do it but he wants me to too set my own one up. Hes given me a comparitor and said find out how to set it up
Thanks

Hi Deano, what you want to do is get an auto reset hp switch find out which of the two terminals have continuity across when required hp pressure is reached. wire the live to one side and the fan motor live to the other. hope this helps.

Will you be fitting an additional manual reset HP control to protect the compressor as well?

OK, find out what temperature you want the the condenser working at and set the fan control switch to that temperature.
