Carrier 48TJE006 needs a new HX. Do I have to remove the burner and gas valve to pull it out? Any short cut you guys might now about? I hope there is 1...or maybe not. Any tips would be wellcome on a cold day 32F tomorrow....

Not much detail in the base manual, I'm sorry, but the gas train shouldn't be too difficult to remove if needed.

Hey, job done, sucked well... Why don't they try to think of us service people when designing equipment? After all, we are the ones who decide what replacement unit will go in there and an new installs what to buy. Fk I hate bad designs and bad technicians who don't think about the next guy (if I put it here will be just fine, good luck and FK the next guy)

There you go, one large hammer, a drill, an odd sized wrench and we can do anything :D
