Hi all.
I am trying to work out the capacities for two bare tube evaporators cooling a brine solution.
Galvanized tubing is being used for the evaporators.Tube diameter is 1 1/4".
Each evaporator has 83.5 feet in total pipe length.
3.14159X1.25=3.927
3.927X1002=3934.854 sq.in
27.325 sq.ft of pipe surface per evaporator.
Evaporation temp would probably be about -10 c when at temperature.
Brine solution will be about 1-2 c when at temp.
Refrigerant is R 409a.
I am trying to get a capacity so I can match a compressor to this application.
Any help would be appreciated.
Regards.
