Hello everybody..
I am working in Oil & gas sector. We have a refrigeration compressor normally operating at suction pressure of 37/32 (Load/Unload) Kpa. What will be affect on compressor if i operate compressor on very low suction pressures??.. lets say on 15/10 Kpa..
I know it will enhance the condensate recoveries... but is it suitable for the compressor to operate it on very low suction pressures??
Please help me...
Regards

Ansar ,
You can't really damage a screw compressor by runing lower suction pressure .
It should have all its inbuilt safeties to protect it anyway .
It looks like a mycom compressor by the numbers you show .

The only thing that may be effected is oil and discharge temprature , depending what type of oil cooling .
ie water cooled , liquid injection .
Liquid injection would cover extra load .
Just run it at conditions you want and monitor pressures and tempratures to see what if any differences .

Does compessor have enough spare capacity to achieve suction pressure you require ?
