Hi
3 hp Condensing unit connected to 20000 btu evaporator in Walk In Cooler. Customer wants to add
Small Cooler case maybe 4000 btu to the same line.
I heard that condensing unit should be bypassed to have this setup

PS
Thanks Magoo
I did not put my problem correctly

you can bypass the condensing unit if you dont want refrigeration effect.what is your grasp of the term basic commercial condensing unit, mine is compressor+condenser+receiver=simple condensing unit

Sorry for my stupidity
My question is simple
Some times and maybe more when Walk in Cooler solenoid will close line
3 HP compressor will push refrigerant to 4000 btu coil ?

no it wont the tx valve or similar will create the other pressure drop for refrigerant flow

Thank you for replay
May be I cannot explain clearly
It is two different evaporators in two different locations
This system will have big difference in capacity
Between 20000 btu +4000btu (24000) and 4000
And compressor on low capacity will starting and stopping continuously
I am not sure but I think I found answer
I need discharge bypass valve
What do you think
Thank you again

YOU NEED A HOT GAS BY PASS VALVE FOR COMPENSATING THE CAPACITY DROP ( DIFFERENCE IN BTUs) . this would ensure that the condensing unit operates on small capacity evaporator . alternatively , you can install a frequency drive . HOWEVER THE LOW CAPACITY EVAPORATOR USING A HIGH CAPACITY COND UNIT WILL RESULT IN OIL RETURN ISSUES .
