View Full Version : help required in locating expansion valve power head

Recently I received a call from one of my clients they require powerhead for liquied injector expansion valves for there ciat watercooled chiller of 100TRX2 capacity, Valves are of ALcocontrols but I am unable to find in their website two number mentioned on the valves are 936-GT-2766 & Powerhead no.XB1019LL-2A valve is located between liquied line and suction.

Thanks Argus, I already searched there although I did find XB1019 as it belongs to Alco's TCL series Expansion valve but refrigerant&charge code is not maching i.e. LL its some thing new I am not familiar with.

Hi Tejbir Singh,

Never mind the number, send me the body details ie, straight or angle, inlet and outlet diameter, capacity, working temp and refrigerant type.

I will match you the Alco TCL TEV that will fit.

The problem is its not the main expansion valve its just meant for the cooling of compressor during offloding period.Chiller uses R-22 capacity of this particular valve is very hard to say, not much details about it.

Hi Marc,

Up to 42C is hot, up to 46C is very hot up to 50C is getting dangerous.

Records in Israel show 52C!! This is f*****g hot!

Yes its hot in Some parts of the country and at some other places it very cool.

I live and work in Delhi Tempreture here varys from 4C to 48C Plant which I am refering to is of 600TR .

I have found the power assembly in Alcocontrols Eupropean subsidries web site.

It belongs to there 935 series liquid injection valve.

Marc do you have any experience on CIAT France chiller.

I worked on a few that were in application on a site in High Wycomb, UK - many years ago. Why?

Because CIAT is becomming popular in India, I may face some problem in future so I should know Whom to ask Directly.
