Auto a/c condenser tubes are amazingly tough.

The core itself is a very strong construction & as long as the fellow does not have punctured tubes, he could probably getting it looking a bit more respectable.

The fins are fully annealed & are as soft as aluminium foil.

I hit a cow once, on my travels in South Africa. The radiator took on the shape of the cow's rear rump. A few water leaks, but was able to limp back to my local repairman.

Brazed the 'cow-shaped' copper-brass radiator into operable condition & used it for years.

The vehicle had a distinctive 'look' after that. A veteran farm bakkie.
