SPlit System, no heat, no cool

Hey guys, this is my first post here,

I have a small unit installed in my apartment, am having a few problems. It will start up on either heat/cool meaning the fan cycle begins, but when the actual heating/cooling is actuated, the power trips

Does this sound like a common fault?

Also, this only began in winter, and i could sorta get it to work some times, but then it would power trip every time, and now summer is here, it trips on the air cond side aswell.

Im hoping it will be some kind of component that needs replacing:confused:

Get a refrigeration service tech., to check system.
Sounds like an electrical issue if tripping supply, do not get an electrician, do not get a plumber, get some one that knows heat pumps. A "refrigeration engineer ".

Most likely one of the motors is stuffed, or there's a loose connection somewhere.
In Oz, you MUST be licenced to work on this equipment. Please don't try DIY, you may very easily hurt yourself very badly.

What area of Oz are you in? with a bit of luck,one of us members may be reasonably close by, or know someone close to you we can recommend.
