And who are Electrum holdings??

ONE of the UK's most famous refrigeration names has been resurrected, following a reorganisation of the m&e company Electrum Holdings.

Electrum Holdings has been renamed Wathes Ltd and is reorganising its four separate operating companies (AC2000, EINW, Electrical Installations North West and Electrum Services) into two major operational units: Wathes Service and Wathes Contracts.

Headquartered in Leicester, Wathes says it will bring the knowledge and skills of all its staff into one national organisation to offer a single point of contact for all customers' m&e maintenance and contracting needs.

T.H. Wathes & Co. Ltd was founded in Leicester in 1903. T.H. Wathes, from which Electrum Holdings evolved, was among the earliest UK contractors for electrical, commercial refrigeration, and air conditioning solutions. In 1998, the Wathes company split into two independent businesses. Wathes Refrigeration became WR Refrigeration which still exists and operates in Leicester. Wathes Air Conditioning became AC 2000.

"Our return to the Wathes name underlines our commitment to provide a high quality, nationwide service", said Electrum Holdings vice chairman Simon Jones. "Our goal is to build upon our established position as a reliable, quality supplier to the M&E sector and expand our business through organic growth and acquisitions to better address market demand", he added.

I'd love to see someone from Space management come on here and answer that question. To be honest though, I don't think they know themselves...
