I'm pretty new to the refrigeration side of things (only being involved in domestic airconditioning) and i was wondering if there are any good decent priced digital thermometers and thermostats because im having problems with a mechanical thermostat and thermometer and their accuracy.

There are plenty of Digital multimeters these days that come with or support a thermocouple input. Ive purchased plenty of digital thermometers over the years and often they dont endure the bump and grind of the toolbag. Try a thermocouple. They are much easier to attach to pipes for checking temps/SH as well.

There are plenty of choices at various prices.
