hi all, i have been in the air conditioning trade for 10 years plus.i started in a factory making the units, from making coils,headers,distributors,weldind,brazing etc for all major names.i moved on from this to a hvca company as a mate, where i started learning install and service.changed companys a couple of times and currently am a senior engineer for a refrigeration/air conditioning company.current salary £30.000k + ovetime etc.my concerns are werethe industry is going, i havent done my nvq 1 &2 as i learnt in the field.i would love to do them and does anybody no or have advise were or what i can do about it.some kind of fast track program or something.im 35 married and have kids but am concerned at not having the paperwork.i take pride in my work and no i am good at what i do but with just the gas handling and a split course city and guilds im nervous.cheers

OO east anglia! Theres sod all colleges round us that do it mate, a lot of people travle to graves end to study, others go and do week long courses.

Where abouts you based? Who you work for?
