I'm looking for compressor performance sheets, or selection software, for the LG rotary compressors. Refrigerant R-22.

I've found the standard specification documents, but no information is provided on Te,sat , Tc,sat, COP, power usage etc.

The COP versus Te,sat & Tc,sat information is what I'm really after - for training purposes.

Could you use data of some other manufacturer for training purposes, or it must be LG?

Thanks Nike.

The compressor is in a Galanz outdoor unit. The compressor name has been removed, but, it appears to be a direct copy of the LG rotary compressor.

I was hoping to be able to use the compressor performance data sheet to confirm a field 'cheap & cheerful' COP,r calculation technique & then train the staff accordingly.

Are there alternative rotary compressors where data sheets can be used? This should be fine.

Any ideas on typical compressor isentropic efficiencies for these rotary compressors, compared to a scroll compressor?

Whos using coolpack at the moment?
Normally between .6 and .8

I normally use .65

Any decent compressor simulator is going to use Eff,is. :D

Great, thanks for that info. I'll use that as a yardstick.

So, at Eff,is=0.65 , you'd place them in a similar performance range to a typical aircon scroll-type compressor, then?

Scrolls, I must say I have always had decent data to work with, I have tended to use full manufactures info.

^ Agreed. The major scroll compressors have excellent support in the technical support information.

This LG rotary seems to have zip, as far as I've been able to unearth, so far.

I did not found any LG data but at last page of this PDF (http://www.totaline.com.tr/pdf/79/HITACHI%20ROTARY.pdf)is nice diagram for one Hitachi rotary.
It appears that his isentropic efficiency is around 0.65 (by Coolpack).

^ Excellent find & analysis work, nike. Thanks so much... :)
