Hi all

Can anybody advise if the Hanbell screw is a reliable machine, any disasters, failures etc?

Apparently they don't like long pumpdowns as it causes overheating .
Also stipulated in their litrature .

Hi i found handbell screws to be very reliable and easy to repair ,ie winding are easily rewoundable and tools for overhaul are standard bearing tools, the slide piston rod used to break on older models but the newer ones are fine, the best thing i like about them is they have thick gaskets which i think are better than orings in sealing

I think they now have more slide valve suport when unloaded , to prevent slide piston rod overstressed from vibrations .
