Okay so my boss has a system that uses a WVFX valve to control the water flow in the the heat exchanger. Recently this system has been shutting down the compressor on start up due the the high pressure overload switch. I think I have tracked this issue down the the before mentioned valve. The question I have is, have any of you had any experiences with rebuilding or repairing this kind of valve? I want to make sure the valve is operating as is should with out having to pay to get the system vac'ed down and filled back up. This is an older system filled with R-22, and last time we had a tech out for R-22 the cost was outrageous. So please any help or advice you can provide we with will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Robert

Hi Robert,

You can get service kits for that valve, details here...

Hopefully the refrigerant connections should be through a valved line or the capillary is via a Schraeder connector, so a reclaim and refill should not be required.
