Hey I know this may be a stupid question but I just got out of school and I have a guy wanting me to help him with a side project at his house for a cooler in his garage..he has everything he needs but a TX Valve, the system will run off R-22 so do I just need to get any compatible TX Valve or is it more specific.

We need to know compressor make and model # and what is cooler working temperature.

I dont know the exact model number it is a tecumseh condensing unit and we'll be running it about 35-40..This is also just a little side job doesn't need to be fancy he just cuts a little meat in his garage and just wants something thrown together that will run.

We need to know compressor (evaporator) capacity, saturation temperatures/pressures to select correct TXV.

Also this isnt the case with this job as all components came with the system except the TX Valve but would it be possible to fun a system with basically just the compressor evap condensor and TXV..meaning withought the drier and LLSV and stuff..Like I said I'm just out of school and just being curious.

listen to what nike says otherwise you can end up with slimy or dry meat

Filter dryer is must , otherwise TXV could stuck or clog with dirt and moisture.
LLSV could be omitted if system have accumulator.
TXV must be matched with evaporator and working conditions, you cannot use just any kind/size TXV.
