We are currently looking into the field of CO2 compression. In one of the alternatives we want to condense and pump the CO2 to a pressure of 200 bar. In order to condense the CO we need a refrigeration process. In this context we wonder if it's possible and/or worth to use any other refrigerant than ammonia (both from economical and thermodynamical point of view)?

The required condensing energy (energy to be absorbed by the refrigerant) is 13710 kW at -28 C (245K) using ammonia as refrigerant.
