Hello i am curious on what materials people use for vertical pipe runs that exceed 20m.

For example: im installing 3 pipe kxr systems (mitsu heavy).
The pipes are in a masonary "riser", (the suction line is 1"1/8', 410 rated....so there is a bit of weight).
im using uni-strut with channel clips every 3m, to brace them.
The reason i ask is because i have a much larger pipe runs coming up and would like to know what other tradesmen use when bracing pipes vertically.
thankyou

wever always used unistrut with pipe clips 3M apart, the reason being you can get lagging in 3M lengths so they fit nicely between the clips!

the only way is to have change of direction

You could braze some smaller diameter pipes onto the external wall of the 1 1/8 and bolt them directly to your Unistrut. You will of course cancel out any expansion or contraction movement.
