Some guidance for a layman please..
My girlfriends freezer defrosted itself yesterday for no apparent reason.
I just took a look at the back and there is a little tiny box on a wire that looks like it should be attached to the radiator. but was just hanging there. it clips nicely back on to the pipe but couldnt see exactly where it was.Is it vital where its clipped?
Could this be the cause? There is a wiring diagram on the back that mentions thermic signal switch and im guessing this is what it is and the reason the freezer wouldnt freeze up?

Even with the switch replaced it doesnt cool down so seems like maybe this has caused more problems and ill have to get someone in :(
Its a new world nw801fz built in freezer.

cheers

Will be the sensor, should be clipped or fastened onto evaporator plate.
If it's not freezing at all and the compresoor is running then you have a system fault, perhaps leak.
If the compressor isn't running you will have a control or compressor problem.
