hello, the warning light has came on and the freezer has defrosted. i can here the fan running and the compressor motor seems to be running too, compressor hot to touch.

any advice please,

Sounds like loss of some or part refrigerant if the motor is running and no cooling.
Depends on age as to if it's worth or can be ropaired,engineer needed, switch off.
