Hello, have joined up to the forum as I am having serious probs with the Supra 950mt small generators that run the evap fans.
We have fitted a large number of these to a fleet of vehicles and they keep failing, capacitors are all being changed, car relays, emf modules, the lot. Has anyone else encountered problems with these generators. They last for 1/2 months then fail.

You sound like you have some bad diagnosing going on there. Are these issues with multiple units or just one?
I have seen guys change those and all that was wrong was the belt was loose.
You need to check the fan motors as well.
Keep checking other possible faults, these are expensive componants to "test" with!

These are issues on 7 units, the motors are dead, even getting them re wound as a new unit is £1951 rrp. Fan motors are all testing fine, where the unit sits the motors do collect a lot of debris but is becoming a real problem. We are even changing motor capacitors as a precaution. It just seems like the motor is not man enough for the job.

I have been rewiring them to run off of the stand-by motor/generator. Haven't had any problems. The 950mt in the states is like that from the factory. The R90 was like what you have.

Hello, many thanks, so you are bypassing the small motor gen that runs the fans and running everything from the main elec motor? Many thanks for the response
