Scandinova L7-111w thermostat change?

Hi guys,

Have a mate who lives some distance away from me with a Scandinova L7-111W. He says the light comes on but nothing happens so I am guessing the thermostat is U/S.

I am not local to him so can't have a look so can anyone tell me how he can strip the unit to access the t/stat?

Is it a fridge or fridge freeezer,and hs it electronic controls ?

It's a fridge, standard dial thermostat (the type you use a coin to turn).

presuming there is no internal fan!
The thermostat phial is usually fastened to the evaporator by 2 screws low down on the plate which will either unclip or has retaining screws the evaporator will pull slightly forward, a danfoss no 3 would be OK,the condenser at the rear may have to be released to allow entry of phial into rear of cabinet.
It's likely the body fits in the top facia, then feed the phial down the back and into cabinet.
