Hi
Maybe some one can give me some information
on a job i have to do next week where i have to replace the discharge pressure transducer on a Daikin VRV 11 system.

can anyone tell me if i need to remove all the refrigerant to do this, or can i just unscrew the transducer from the discharge line ?

One guy at Daikin tells me that i need to remove the gas another one tells me the valve is fitted with scraider fittings so i just need to unscrew it.

thanks pingo

It looks like no one has done one of these!

I guess i will have to recover the gas from the unit and then fit the part

Hi,
Generally Hp Pressure transducers have a schraeder depressor built into them. On many systems the only time one needs to remove the refrigerant is to change a PRV or Hp switch. I would suggest that if there is a seperate Hp protection device you may be able to remove the Transducer without removing the refrigerant. Good Luck

Hi Pingo,

They used to be on mushroom connectors but I think that all R410A models are not, you will have to remove the refrigerant charge.

Cheers
