Sabroe Chill PAC reciprocating NH3 inlet valve failure

I have been working on a Sabroe Chill PAC reciprocating compressor model SMC108L with water cooled condenser. running conditions are - 4 C evaporating / + 40 C condensing. Chilling 12.4% (by weight) ethylene glycol solution from + 2.5 C to - 0.5 C.

The machine has contant problems with the inlet valve failing. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

What was the cause and the solution to the problem?

What do you mean by inlet valve ?

Suction stop valve
or cylinder liner suction valve plate .

What refrigerant and comp speed ?

What type of evaporator and level control ?

what do you mean by inlet valve? inlet valve plate assembly? failing in which way? is you loading mech. working correctly?
