hi guys

i have been installing mitsubishi electric a/c systems for a few years as these are what is specd by customer, However recently i have discovered these mitsubihi heavy industry units which are far cheaper and in my opinion easier to install and just as nice to look at so i have been buying these instead.
The question is though are these units as reliable through time as the mitsubihi electric units.
The reason i ask is alyhough i install these systems we dont service them after the first year service is up and i am yet to receive a call to 1 yet.
i would not like to think i am selling units that dont last for the sake of saving a few pounds at the installation. Your thoughts please?

I work with MHI and, by my experience, they are reliable just as ME.

Based on my installation experience only, I personally rate MHI as one of the best in the industry, far better than Mitsubishi Electric. In Australia I rate the MHI and Panasonic as the top of the lot with Mitsu Electric in the second tier with Fujitsu.

My own personal experience though based on what we encounter with installations and service reception.

In Australia they are cheaper than the Fujitsu units and in my opinion better. They are far cheaper than the Panasonic's and in my opinion on par. Then there is a huge price in comparison to Daikin and once again for the cost i feel the MHI is better. There are based on my opinions with my experience with them in operation, efficiency and installation. Of course others will have equally as valid opinions on their own choices.

We get them from distributors throughout Sydney. Not actually through MHI but through some of their dealers who provide cheaper than trade for us through our volume. They cost us about 75% of the new panasonic prices and are cheaper than the Fujitsu rubbish.

WE actually have only had to use their service on one occasion for a ducted system and the only complaint I had was that they wouldnt take my word for the issue after discussing the problem with them on the phone and thus required to work on the unit two times instead of bringing the parts just in case the first time. No problem for me but the customer was not so happy.

Panasonic is my favourite for service though, I guess my relationship with them is much more comfortable.
